Apartment blaze at Sunset Townhouses displaces family
A fire at Sunset Townhouses on South Abbe Road displaced one family and forced dozens to evacuate temporarily. One woman inside Unit 14 was unharmed. Firefighters contained the blaze to the two floor unit, with water and smoke damage to nearby units. Red Cross aid was provided for lodging.

3-D printed wheelchair aids Luna the guinea pig
Luna the guinea pig, paralyzed hind legs, is helped by 3-D printed wheelchair made by Lorain County Joint Vocational School students. Jessica Bonds, 16, sought help after Luna’s injury and guided the project with teacher Brian Scanlan. The device uses red nylon, paper clips for wheels, and two straps to secure Luna during mobility.
