Handley bill to legalize greyhound racing defeated in Ohio Senate

The Handley bill to legalize greyhound racing in Ohio failed 17 to 11 in the state senate after a heated debate. It would have placed dog racing under a state racing commission and taxed tracks like horse racing. Senator Handley pressed for a continuous roll call to record dissenting votes. The defeat ends the measure in this 15th week of the legislative session.
