The ousted shah of Iran remained in very satisfactory condition after spleen removal in Cairo. Dr. Michael DeBakey led the 80 minute operation, with cancer tests due in two days. Orthopedic notes say cancer evidence was absent elsewhere in the body and recovery should continue through Sunday.
