Siamese Twin Sisters Die After Relentless Illness

Josefa and Rosa Blazek the Siamese twins died within minutes of each other in Chicago after two weeks of jaundice and a relapse. Doctors said an operation to save one would have been useless as both shared only a few organs. Their brother and son refused consent. The twins had worked in vaudeville and museums, leaving an inheritance to be divided. The 43 year old siblings were born in Czerho-Slovakia and had lived in the United States for two years. The son and brother wept at their death.

In Miami on March 30 authorities delayed a surprise habeas corpus hearing for Edgar C. Wrady of Chicago, charged with murdering his wife. Wrady’s frail condition was cited as the reason for moving the court date to Monday. reports say Frady slit his own throat after his wife was shot in their hotel.

Lorain March 30 Don V Parker prohibition commissioner announced a public hearing next Monday about alleged lax enforcement of liquor laws involving Mayor William F Grall.
