Man testifies in Lorain murder case about beating grandfather

Avon Lake group saves power plant artifacts for future exhibit
Avon Lake historian Tony Tomanek organized a committee to preserve elements of the dismantled power plant built in 1926. They saved a Amherst sandstone lintel, lobby sconces, marble floors, exterior lamp posts, and a turbine clock now housed in the Avon Lake Library Lakeshore room with a planned exhibit detailing the plant’s history.
