Ex-treasurer bound over to grand jury
John Brady of 2300 Leavitt Rd led residents opposing a local junkyard operation to the grand jury inquiry. Former Treasurer Wolff Jr., 33, of the Greavier Cleveland Federation of Lutheran Churches and a bank officer, faced charges totaling about 35,000 dollars. He admitted taking about 34,000 dollars used for a home, car, boat, trips, and family expenses, and was bound over after waiving a preliminary hearing. Police eye zoning violations and a possible fake reason for area building permits. Wolff resigned from the bank five months earlier to move to California.
