A Navy veteran and Syracuse and UC Berkeley graduate, he worked at Eastman Kodak and taught at Rochester Institute of Technology and Oberlin College. He supported bird conservation and leaves a family including children Scott, Marshall, Colleen, and many grandchildren. Donations to Magee Marsh foundation are requested.
