Arizona defeated Notre Dame 86 71 behind 19 from Jason Gardner and 16 from Luke Walton to reach the West Regional final. The Wildcats will face Kansas as they chase a return to the national semifinals. Notre Dame, 24 10, was paced by Torin Francis 25 and Chris Thomas 20 but could not slow the high scoring Arizona attack.
Kentucky stretched its winning streak to 26 games with a 63 57 Midwest Regional semifinal win over Wisconsin. Keith Bogans sprained his left ankle in the first half, forcing Marquis Estill to score a career high 23 points while Kentucky eyed a Final Four bid against Marquette.
Wisconsin battles Kentucky and finds it possible to beat the Wildcats when their star Keith Bogans is sidelined. Marquette and Wisconsin offer inside play and outside shooting to expose weaknesses while Arizona leads a crowded field as the NCAA tournament unfolds.
Dwyane Wade scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half as third-seeded Marquette edged Pittsburgh 77-74 in the Midwest Regional semifinals at Chevon Troutman fueled a late Panthers rally with 15 points, but Marquette held on to advance to face Kentucky for a trip to New Orleans. Brandin Knight led Pitt with 16 points and a final three failed to tie it.
Kansas 28 7 advances to face Arizona after a 1 74 win over Duke. Collison scores 14 of 22, Williams praises his focus and says Kansas will prepare for Arizona next. Duke standout title mentions and Redick limited to five points as Cooper adjusts lineup.
