Deputy sheriff reports they were installing hot rods when Davenport reached for a wire despite storms and a charged line.
Avon Lake 62 year old Albert Zipp was struck by a west bound car on Lake Road near Sipp Lane. Driver Sam J. Argenziano stopped and alerted police. Zipp died at St Joseph's Hospital Lorain from chest and skull injuries. He worked for American Ship Building Co and is survived by son Norman. Funeral arrangements pending.
Elyria Red Cross workers face a daily $1,000 target to meet a $3,410 chapter quota by March 31. By Friday, total contributions reached $19,099.09 with the industrial division at $7,093.97 and clubs and organizations at $550.25. Ronnie Miller two, son of Mr and Mrs John Miller of Dunkirk, died in a Kenton hospital from burns after the car he played in caught fire. His brother Rickey Ray, who would have been three tomorrow, burned to death in the car yesterday. Ronnie was rescued by his mother but died at Antonia Hospital at 1 am.
