Corn Whisky Fumes Ignite Fatal Fire in Cleveland Home
A keg of corn whisky exploded in a Cleveland kitchen, killing 3 year old Marie De Capo and badly burning seven others including two more children. Father Frank De Capo, 66, alleged owner of the liquor, is held as prosecutors investigate. Several injured relatives, including Christine and Cecils Verdile, 4 and 2, are in Charity hospital near death. Police cannot confirm the exact ignition cause, while two five gallon cans of whiskey are found in the residence and a man named Hoveo Terugago, 33, faces prior fines.
