Elyria mom jailed for pepper spraying school principals
Jessica Houze, 28, of Elyria, was sentenced by Lorain County Common Pleas Judge Chris Cook to two years probation with up to six months in jail for two felony assault counts related to pepper spraying Hamilton Elementary School principals Katie Huff and Joel Melvin. Huff, eight months pregnant, and Melvin obtained civil protection orders. Houze must stay off school grounds and report to jail by April 10 with risk of prison for new offenses.

Elyria Plans Equal Split Of Opioid Settlement Funds
