Drone achieves first autonomous urban package delivery in Nevada
Flirtey completed what its maker and Gov. Brian Sandoval call the nation's first fully autonomous urban drone delivery. A six rotor drone carried a package including water food and a first aid kit along a GPS guided half mile route to a vacant residence in Hawthorne Nevada. The flight required no on scene pilot as observers were on standby. The Nevada test underscores safe navigation around buildings for aerial deliveries in populated areas.
