Moral Voice program links criminals with community role models
In Avondale Cincinnati the Moral Voice anti-violence program seeks to involve influential residents to speak with 15 to 20 offenders on Ridgeway Avenue and Carolin Place. Police and Urban League leaders pilot the plan to persuade offenders to stop shooting and selling drugs with help, else face intensified police attention.

Elderly Lorain Woman Loses 11500 In Phone Scam
An 80 year old Lorain woman reported to police she wired $2,900 three times and $2,800 once to fake bailiffs and attorneys in a call saying her grandson was arrested with Mexican drugs. The caller used a Montreal number and kept her on edge with a staged child call. The great grandchild was later confirmed to be at school in the Clearview district. Police also investigated children found home alone in Elyria.
