A long time Lorain County resident, he served as Sheriff from 1919 to 1973 and County Treasurer from 1928 to 1933, later working as Trust Officer at Elyria Savings & Trust and practicing as a veterinarian.
A money order to the National Society for Crippled Children arrived this week from Honolulu requesting a copy of Dr. Haney and Dr. Sland's Primer on the Prevention of Deformity in Childhood. A.M. Thompson, director of extension for the National Society, said the request came from Barbara C. White of Queen's Hospital Honolulu and was sent March 1.
