Sweet life at Fanny Farmer Norwalk plant tasting the products
Norwalk Connecticut. Fanny Farmer’s Norwalk plant on Route 20 is the company’s only U S candy factory. Workers Penny Kidd and Betty Christiaan sample goods as part of quality checks and product testing. The 140000 square foot facility produces about 7 million pounds of candy annually for 250 stores and external firms. Peak season runs before Christmas to just before May. Employment drops from about 420 in peak to roughly 140 in the off season.
