Highway Patrol consolidates dispatch centers to cut costs
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is consolidating 56 posts into 21 regional dispatch sites to reduce overtime costs. Patrol spokesman Darrin Blosser says the move allows multiple dispatchers on duty, easing breaks and on-time departures, though some workers complain of longer commutes. The change, nearly complete, will be fully functional next year.
