Four Lorain County Roads to Get State Improvements This Year
Lorain County will see four highway projects under the State Highway Department this year. Plans include widening Avon Belden Road to 18 feet for 3.85 miles, Kipton bridge work, elimination of the S curve on Oberlin Road near Brookdale Cemetery, and improvements at Foster Park and North Ridge roads at Oberlin Avenue. State officials will inspect next week. The state has already taken over 48.8 miles of county roads since last spring, with 72.8 miles targeted under an agreed plan.

About 1500 Greek residents are set to observe Greek Independence Day next Sunday. A morning service will be led by Rev.
