Bay Girls Edge Middies 46 44 For Regional Bid
Bay High School defeated Midview 46 to 44 in a district final to claim the regional tournament spot. Coach Winnie Ridill credited a 2-1-2 zone that shut down Diane Cole and limited easy layups, while Midview’s Faith Kovacevich lamented turnovers and crowd nerves as turning points. Ridill praised her players for executing the plan and looks ahead to next week’s regional games in Norwalk.
