Washington reports income tax receipts to March 18 totaling 388,691,615, far below the 421,534,500 collected on the same date last year, indicating a sharp drop in collections.
A dramatic raid yielded notes in code and plans for a dirigible plot, tied to worker Kassay. Secret Service, Ak ron researchers and naval officials all voiced surprise as deciphered notes reportedly indicate Kassay discussed destroying the dirigible. Kassay denied Navy ties, claiming others tried to recruit him and deny his wife funds to stay abroad. Authorities say the notes implicate only the author, with no broader plot uncovered.
Secret operatives assigned to working crews shadowed Kassay's group as he allegedly planned to wreck a huge ship. An agent learned Kassay ordered access to the rear control to disable the ship during takeoff. The raid on the Aema and subsequent arrests tied to a Goodyear beacon case revealed details of the plot and the suspects.
A damaged OCR fragment references Mrs Kassay and mentions an inspection, absence of offers, and unclear accusations about actions during a tense period. The garbled text hints at a domestic dispute or investigation but provides no coherent facts or outcomes.
