Hundreds queue to honor slain Elyria officer Kerstetter
Mourners line up for hours on Thursday to pay respects to Elyria Patrolman James Kerstetter, killed Monday night. A second visitation is scheduled today from 2 to 9 p.m. at Bauer Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home. The crowd includes family, friends, and colleagues who view photos of Kerstetter’s life.

The service is family and police only with 2 to 9 pm calling hours at Bauer-Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home.
