The first traffic fatality of the year occurred in Lorain as Roy Rone 37 of Oklahoma City was struck near 14th and Broadway by an auto driven by John Schultz 123 W 24th St. Rone suffered a fractured skull broken ribs and two broken legs and died at St Josephs hospital twenty minutes after the collision. Schultz was exonerated by police and coroner Perry who ruled the accident unavoidable.

Victim of Brutal Murder Near Stony Brook Reservation
The body of a twenty year old girl was found in a brook near the Stony Brook Reservation in Dedham Massachusetts. A large two hundred pound boulder rested on her head and blood stains appeared near the scene.
