Carroll chosen as chief of Grafton Police
The Grafton Village Council unanimously appointed Lonnie Carroll 62 as police chief. Carroll, interim chief since November, has served with the department since 1984 rising to lieutenant in 2000. He vows active community policing and frequent public interaction. Mayor Szczepanski praised his leadership while noting past internal tensions and investigations that led to Brearey’s termination.
