Rev. A Ky Piper will leave Elyria for Reading Pennsylvania in April to become pastor of Holy Cross Methodist Church. The transfer was approved at the Philadelphia Conference meeting and confirmed by Bishop Welsh and Bishop Richardson. Dr Bond, current pastor, will succeed him at Elyria and conduct services April 2. Piper has led Elyria’s 1800-member church since 1929, moving from Akron district superintendent to pastor here.

Death Sentence Commuted To Life In Prison
