College costs rise warn of steady increases past World War II
A UPI survey notes college education costs climbing since WWI with projections rising to 3065 a year by 1980 and up to 6735 by 2000 for a coedial college. Vision screening aims to spot lazy eye in six year olds, not diagnose disease, with 10 percent of 500 children screened last year found to have defects. Elyria PTAs and local groups coordinate the effort with Elyria High School Future Nurses and Future Teachers of America, Westwood Junior High student council, and Girl Scout troops aiding the program endorsed by the Lorain County Medical Society.
