Petition Runaround Delays Sandusky City Charter Vote
Erie County officials clash over where to file a 96 signa ture city charter petition to put a mayor and seven council members on the ballot. Attorney Louis Jectins and others say the document should be filed with the city governing body, while Erie County authorities and Schultz claim the petition is returned or blocked, risking court action to resolve who accepts the petition. The group aims to replace the city manager form with a mayoral system.
