Avon Lake’s Shoregals finished 23-6 after a 72-44 defeat to Purcell Marian in the Division III state championship at the University of Dayton. Purcell Marian claimed its fourth straight title as Dree Alexander, Ohio Ms. Basketball, starred. Junior Olivia Miller led Avon Lake with 12 points as coach Paul Appel praised his seniors and the team’s turnaround.

Rockin' on the River 2025 lineup announced in Lorain
The Lorain Port and Finance Authority takes over Rockin on the River after purchasing rights from Falls River Concerts LLC for 225000 with a 25000 annual fee for up to three years to keep the Earleys as consultants.
