Marines’ Wounded Warrior Center at Camp Pendleton
The 25 bed Wounded Warrior Center at Camp Pendleton opened in August to treat wounded Marines and sailors in two man rooms with television and a small fridge. Staff provide 24 hour care, transport to therapy, and case management while avoiding duties like standing watch. Cpl Jackson Luna, first resident, and Sgt Logan Ballew illustrate recovery and re enlistment plans as the center coordinates with hospitals and VA facilities to prevent care gaps.
