Wright-Patterson workers protest A-76 bid outcomes
About 20 demonstrators protested at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as 120 lab technician jobs face elimination after the Air Force contracted out work to Adtech Systems Research Inc. under the A-76 program. Union officials say the bid undervalues the required work and an appeal is pending with a potential layoff by Oct. 1. base officials note the contract award is tentative and word on the appeal could extend uncertainty.
