European Autos Bought by Firms for Work and Pleasure
More than one in a hundred European cars are bought with company funds and used for business and pleasure, a Detroit meeting of the Society of Automotive Engineers heard. Laurence Pomeroy of The Motor noted European ownership limits and the view that car choice hinges on profit, running costs, or employee transport, with the company as a tool. The GMC Truck & Coach Division unveiled a Twin Hydra-Matic system, to be installed in a 60,000 pound diesel cab-over heavy truck.
