Archangel Archive aims to clone ancient forests to cleanse the planet

Copemish Michigan based Archangel Ancient Tree Archive seeks to collect genetic material from redwoods sequoias and other giants to clone 200 varieties. Leslie Lee funds the effort with millions to build a 17 person team and indoor research facility. Scientists say clones may store carbon and preserve ecosystems while public funding and acceptance remain hurdles.

Sad dads spank more when depressed study says

The study of 1 746 fathers in 16 U S cities from 1999 2000 finds about 40 percent of low mood dads spanked a 1 year old compared with 13 percent of non depressed fathers. It links paternal mood to spanking risk and urges pediatricians to screen dads.
