Elyria mayor clashed with school board over control
The Chronicle-Telegram reports a deep dispute between Elyria Mayor Bill Grace and school board president Holly Brinda over authority on school issues. The piece notes constitutional limits, stalled high school plans, voters' repeated rejections, and Grace’s push for a ballot measure while urging the board to lead. It portrays Grace as meddlesome and not in the driver’s seat, needing board backing to influence policy.
