LCCC funding request drops fine arts building plan
Lorain County Community College faces no funding for a new fine arts building if the state executive budget passes. The proposal designates 300000 of 700000 contemplated capital funds for equipment housing service needs instead of the arts building. Wellington Teachers Get About Eight Percent Pay Hike
Wellington Exempted Village School District teachers will receive roughly an 8 percent raise effective April 1. New starts for bachelor degree teachers rise to 7380 dollars, while masters with 12 years experience max at 13000 dollars. The district may distribute 42 percent of any state HB 81 funds as a one time payment to about 80 teachers if funds materialize, with about 72000 dollars anticipated. No wage raises yet for non certified staff, though negotiations continue.
