Elyria man arrested after random lobby assault
Daniel Carrillo, 38, of Bond Street, was jailed after attacking a woman in the lobby of the Elyria police station on Monday. Police said he arrived with the intent to kill an officer but assaulted the woman instead, injuring her with small facial and hand lacerations. The incident lasted about 20 seconds before officers subdued him. the victim declined further medical care.

Vermilion police arrested 40 year old Matthew G. Rich at his Altamont Road home after a tip led to a probe by the Ohio ICAC task force. Rich faces two counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor both felonies and was jailed pending an initial Vermilion Municipal Court appearance.
