Ridgeville Rejects Senior Housing Project Vote Downs $3.7 Million Plan
Ridgeville City Council rejected a plan for an 80 unit senior housing complex citing affordability concerns among older residents. The 3-2-1 vote blocked negotiations for a long term city lease and tax abatement despite developer Alan F. Scott and Mayor Armbruster arguing abatement and tax credits were essential to keep rents at about 367 to 406 dollars monthly.
