Lorain School Board voted to remove a 5 million dollar 10 year levy from the May ballot to ease voter tax fatigue and avoid a tax renewal clash. The district warned that losing 2.2 million in income tax revenue would hurt operations, while some members saw potential but not primary motive to help the city. A provisional 4.9 mill levy from November remains unresolved with 170 ballots yet to be counted, possibly affecting funding by summer.
