Surrendered official tied to $320,000 theft scheme
Kenneth Gallatin, 29, linked to the $320,000 theft of auto license funds, surrendered to Lorain County Sheriff deputies to face grand theft and receiving stolen property charges. Indicted Tuesday by a grand jury, he was accompanied by attorney John Haynes. Marsico testified in the case and Gallatin, once a Canton substitute teacher, was named by prosecutors as “Mr Dreakin” in tapes. He faces arraignment Monday at 10 am in Common Pleas Court.

North Olmsted Woman Accepted to West Point
Pamela Snead of North Olmsted has been chosen among 100 women to attend the U.S. Military Academy at West Point this fall. Grafton youth crushed to death under truck
An 18 year old Grafton youth was killed at a residential construction site when a concrete truck backed over him at Dunny and Ivanhoe avenues in Sheffield Lake. Richard Applebee Jr. of Parsons Road was crushed instantly around 6:05 pm. The driver, Clarence D Pullen, 34, is identified by police. Coroner listing cites a massive head injury.
