Substitute Milk Control Bill Recommended

A substitute milk control bill to place the milk industry under the state agriculture department was recommended to the Senate taxation committee by a five member subcommittee. The measure would create a seven member milk control and marketing advisory board and empower price and conduct rules while not fixing prices. The bill lacks price fixing, leading advocates to expect it may die in committee.
