NASA delays Mars mission to 2018
NASA will relaunch the InSight Mars mission in 2018 after a December leak in a key instrument forced a delay. The French seismometer needs a vacuum chamber and a German heat flow probe, with JPL redesigning the chamber while CNES handles the science unit. The two year delay hinges on the next Mars launch window in May 2018.
