Women of the First Congregational Church host Elyria Council of Church Women for a midweek Lent meeting on Wednesday at noon to explore worship through music titled Come Let Us Worship. Rev. Named To Pike Board In Ohio Turnpike Commission

A. J. Allen former president of the Cincinnati and Suburban Bell Telephone Co was named to the Ohio Turnpike Commission by Gov. Frank J Lausche. Allen is a Republican replacing Murray Seasongold who resigned amid a hiring dispute. His term runs through 1957 at a $5,000 annual salary.

Pay Tribute To Girl Scouts And Brownies At St Marys

About 350 persons attended investiture services at St Marys Church honoring Girl Scouts and Brownies from St Marys School. Fr John F Neary spoke on a promise imitating Christ. Mothers were hosted to tea. flags, badges, and pledges were presented to leaders and new scouts amid color guards and songs.
