Area School Music Fete Slated Friday
The 1959 Huron County Music Festival will be held Friday at 3 pm in the New London School Auditorium. Guest conductor Jack O Evans of Ohio State University leads the Festival Band. Harold Kaufman of Sandusky High School directs the Festival Chorus of 200 singers. About 150 musicians from Fairfield Greenwich Monroeville New London and Townsend Wakeman High Schools practice together all day. Music teachers Miss June Myers Donald Braden John Anderson Leonard Mackles Charles Hayden assist. Elmer Schacht, New London Superintendent, is Festival Manager for the Huron County ICAs.
