In Cleveland a 11 ton truck driven by Peter S. Green of Detroit crashed through a confectionery store, jumped a curb, and ended inside a barber shop. The gasoline tank ignited but the driver escaped injury. Damages were about 3500 to the building and 800 to the truck. James M. Powell 82 father of Elyria city engineer John M. Powell died at his Lorain home from injuries suffered January 5 when struck by a truck while crossing Erie avenue.
