No Cyrek no win for Vermilion in district semifinal
Vermilion missing Ed Cyrek sick at home fell to Lexington 57 44 in the Division II district semifinal at Ashland University. Lexington built a 53 39 lead late in the fourth as Mark Simmons scored 14 of his 20 points. Parmenter led Vermilion with 21 points while Parmenter and Simmons exchanged late shots and the Minutemen outrebounded the Sailors 42 24 to seal the win.
