Heavy rains trigger evacuations and rescues in California

Heavy rain caused evacuations in low lying areas of California while thousands remained without power after winds toppled trees and power lines. A second storm was forecast to hit later Sunday as firefighters rescued four people and a dog stranded along the Los Angeles River in Encino. City News Service reported no injuries.
