County wrestles with election center costs and agenda rule
Officials discuss storing electronic voting machines before arrival with an estimated total project cost of 400000 dollars. Commissioners consider sending a clarifying letter with a deadline while voting against the measure. The county rents offices on Broad Street for about 10000 dollars monthly after purchasing a former bowling alley. A separate proposal to formalize a two commissioner agenda rule appears stalled amid legal questions and recent reviews. Commissioner Blair faces Moore’s inaction as he has not read the prosecutor’s opinion.
