Storms Across Atlantic Seaboard Cause Deaths and Damage

Storms sweeping from Texas to Florida killed seven people and damaged property across the eastern states. Coast guardsmen drowned near Atlantic City and a youth died in Washington DC from the blizzard. Chicago saw temperatures near zero as a separate cold spell hit the Midwest. General TD A Crotty longtime secretary of the Cleveland and Toledo Grand Commandery of the Knights of St. John died Saturday afternoon at his daughter's home on Columbia avenue. He served forty four years in the order and was a former Brigadier General of Ohio's 1st Brigade and grand secretary for twenty eight years. Funeral services are set for Tuesday at St. Marys Church with a military funeral in full regalia and burial in Calvary Cemetery Cleveland.

Renowned Bandmaster John Philip Sousa Dies

John Philip Sousa, famed bandmaster and composer of military marches, died in Reading, Pennsylvania, after a career leading the Marine Band and Sousa's Band. Burial is planned for Thursday at Congressional Cemetery in Washington.

Grand Jury To Meet Tomorrow In Lorain County
