The article compares how different states alter collective bargaining for public workers. Indiana rescinded rights in 2005 under Gov. Mitch Daniels with little public protest, while Washington state began public worker bargaining in 2002 and has kept it. Elyria Teen Indicted in Aug 29 East Side Slaying

A 19 year old Elyria man Clint Jackson was indicted by a Cuyahoga County grand jury on aggravated murder and aggravated robbery for a Cleveland east side robbery that killed a young mother. He faces arraignment March 16. The case also involves two Elyria teens and Kari Myers.

VFW to host tribute for local musician

Elyria honors Ray mond LeRoy Abel known as Lee Abel a blues and pop saxophonist who led the Red Ryders and worked with Quincy Jones. The tribute runs 2 to 6 p.m. today at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post and will celebrate his guidance of young musicians.
