Lorain puts manager pay hike plan on hold
Lorain council halted a proposal to raise top managers’ pay by 160000 over three years. Councilman Kenneth Shawver will pursue two private work sessions next week to revise the plan before another vote. Members cited Lorain’s weak finances as a reason to delay and potentially sway opponents. This marks Shawver’s second closed-door revision of the Lorain Management Group request, which previously sought a five percent pay-grade difference to take effect this year.
