First Lorain murder trial begins March 23

In Georgetown C March ell two armed bandits robbed the Bank of Russellville taking between 500 and 600 dollars after forcing cashiers and a customer into the street. They fled north toward Hillsboro in a Willys Knight sedan. In Treece Kansas March 6 three bandits looted the Treece State Bank, shot cashier George Humble, and fled with an undetermined amount. Humble was hospitalized in Picher Oklahoma in serious condition.

Lorain man held on charge after shooting wound
Albert Rhinehart, 37, is jailed on a $1000 bond amid grand jury investigation into the shooting of Walter Stanton, 26, Wednesday night. Stanton, a magazine salesman, was with Mrs Anna Rhinehart when Rhinehart followed from a Lorain restaurant to Sheffield Lake, leaped on the car and fired through a door glass. Rhinehart claims the gun discharged accidentally while threatening Stanton. he pleaded not guilty to shooting with intent to wound. He and Mrs Rhinehart, both Lorain residents, have two children aged five and two.
