Ohio High Court Limits Damages in Botched Genetic Tests Case
Ohio's Supreme Court ruled parents may sue doctors for costs tied to pregnancy failure when a genetic test miss earlier would have prompted abortion, but damages are capped to the costs of raising a disabled child. The 4-3 decision preserves limits, avoiding liability for pain and long-term care beyond birth costs.
