Roosevelt The Man By Leslie Eichel

Franklin D. Roosevelt emerges as a forward looking figure in New York politics and national ascent. The piece traces his early Senate record, battles against Tammany Hall, support for social welfare, 54 hour work bill sponsorship, and rise from New York governorship to the national arena including his 1912 Democratic convention stance and early navy secretary role. It emphasizes his consistent Wilson support and the idea that a pragmatic, forward looking approach propelled his career despite lacking early sufferings.
